Gary Jones

Gary decided it was time to get himself a proper job and gained a 1st class honours degree in Physiotherapy at Southampton University in 2001, after he realised that his dream of becoming a stand-up comedian was indeed `very much a dream!`. Gary moved down from the bright lights and big city that is...Birmingham and joined Six Physio as a manual physiotherapist in December 2009. Back in Birmingham Gary worked for 5 years in the N.H.S, during which time he gained valuable experience in treating adult and paediatric orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions before spending the next 3 years working in private practice. Gary completed a postgraduate diploma in neuromusculoskeletal healthcare at Keele University in 2008, leading to a keen interest in pain physiology and its role in joint and soft tissue management. Gary`s area of expertise is in the manual rehabilitation of spinal, shoulder and knee dysfunction as well as sports injuries. Gary has been practicing acupuncture since 2004 and is a registered member of the A.A.C.P. One of the six things you didn`t know about Gary: He once had the pleasure of enjoying a pint with `Benny` from the television programme Crossroads (for anyone under the age of 30 and not aware of who `Miss Dianne` is, then you`re probably wondering what the big deal is?). He was and still is a Brummy legend though!
