Nicola Page

I joined Six Physio in September 2009 as Practice Manager at the High Street Kensington clinic, and moved to London Wall in 2011. I worked in the fitness industry for over six years as a Fitness Manager, Personal Trainer and Children`s Sports Coach. My love of sport has led to me wanting to become a PE teacher and I am currently studying an Open University course to gain a BSc in Sports Psychology, coaching and Sociology. I am very sporty and compete for a running club on a regular basis. My main athletic achievements include representing Essex County on over 30 occasions, over cross country and track events. I attempted my first ever beach half marathon in 2009 and clocked a handy 1 hr 32 and since decided to train seriously and hope to enter full marathon events in the future.I recently spent a month travelling around New Zealand, where I went caving, white water rafting and kayaking. One of the Six things you didn`t know about Nicola is: I love to sing, especially Leanne Rimes songs...

Alex Hunter

Alex graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2004. He began his physiotherapy career in his home town of Christchurch, working in a private practice treating various sporting, spinal and post-operative patients. Alex then made the move across to Ireland in 2006, where he played a season of rugby in the mud and rain. Following this it was back across the equator to Melbourne, where Alex again worked in a private practice until moving to London in 2010. Alex has had wide ranging experience working with many different types of patients and injuries, as well as numerous sporting teams including cricket, basketball, hockey and AFL. He particularly enjoys treating shoulder injuries and cervicogenic headaches. In his spare time Alex foolishly still plays rugby, meaning that on Mondays he is often as sore as his patients. He also enjoys travel and playing the guitar badly. One of the SIX things you didn`t know about Alex: he once ate an entire tarantula...and wouldn`t recommend it!

Tej graduated from Kings College London in 2004 with honours. He spent 3 years working in a large central London teaching hospital before specialising in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy. He has spent the last 4 years working at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, a specialist orthopaedic hospital- one of only two in the NHS. Here he gained specialist knowledge and a keen interest in shoulder and upper limb conditions. He also led in the development of a number of physio management guidelines for various surgeries and conditions. Tej is also a qualified AACP acupuncturist. Tej has worked with elite athletes, working for Crystal Palace Football Club for a number of years. He got involved with managing and treating the elite runners at the London marathon and the celebrity runners after running it himself in 2006! Tej took a 6 month sabbatical from work in 2009 to travel the world. He used his physio skills to good effect by leading daily stretching classes on the trek to Machu Picchu, including on the final day amongst the ruins! (We have photographical evidence!) Tej is huge Leicester City fan and always has time in the day talk football. His other interests are photography and he won the Ben Westwood Photography prize in 2009. One of the six things you didn`t know about Tej was that he used to be able to run the 100m in under 12 seconds!

Michelle Lewis

Michelle graduated from Kings College London in 2005 with a degree in physiotherapy and has been practicing in the UK ever since - with intermittent breaks to go see the big wide world. Having completed junior rotations at her local NHS trust, she pursued her interest in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal practice, gaining experience the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and then Barnet Hospital in a senior physio role. Michelle obtained APPI Pilates mat work level one in 2007, and utilised the skills as best possible in the acute hospital setting - but is ready and raring to put the theory back in to practice. She`s currently in her final year of studying a Diploma in Management Studies, adding another dimension to her practice. When not at work, Michelles interests are based around health, fitness, and socialising. Despite being a local girl born and bred, she enjoys a good amount of travelling, with intentions to do more. One of SIX things you didn`t know about Michelle: she has a fear of flying, which is a holidaying problem. Her 2009 new year`s resolution was to shop less and holiday more, she achieved 10 holidays in 12 months! So there`s room for improvement in 2010!
