Tsonga in need of sprained ankle treatment
French tennis star Jo Wilfried Tsonga was forced to retire from his Davis Cup match against Simon Greul of Germany yesterday (March 7th) after spraining his ankle.

Tsonga was losing the match 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 at the time of the injury. Despite the player's early retirement, France qualified for the quarter-finals of the cup thanks to victories by Michael Llodra and Julien Benneteau.
It is thought Tsonga's injury is not too serious and he is expected to play in the BNP Paribas Open next week, which takes place at Indian Wells in the US.
In the meantime, the Frenchman will undergo sprained ankle treatment as he looks to make a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, the British Davis Cup team suffered a setback last week when Jamie Baker pulled out with an ankle injury.
The team went on to lose to Lithuania at the weekend one of the most humiliating defeats in its history.
