Six Physio has a distinct approach to Pilates. We were the first private clinic in London to run Pilates classes back in the 80's.
Our classes are different, very different. We know that everyone is very similar to someone else, but also very different. We get that your goals and what you want to achieve is different to the next person. One size does not fit all. Our classes reflect that.
We only hire experienced Physiotherapists trained in Pilates to teach in our Pilates studios in London. Collectively, we have a massive scope as we’ve trained Stott, DMA, Bodycontrol, Polestar, Pilates Foundation….the list goes on.
We dig the bloke that started it, but we’ve also taken it a large step further. We’ve made it functional, resistive, sweaty (sometimes!) but still keep it classical. We don’t forget where it came from, but can't understand how you'd let anyone who can’t relate your pain and pathology to your problem come anywhere near you!
Everyone undergoes an initial assessment before the first class, regardless of where you may have done it before. We think that even though you may know where your core is, unless this has been visualised by you using real time ultrasound, you may not be doing what you think you’re doing.
Our class sizes are small but friendly, typically 3 patients to 1 physio.
1-to-1 sessions are also available in all our clinics where, as the name implies, our physiotherapist is there just for you.
Our studios are beautiful, full of all the latest Pilates kit. You won't just be floundering around on mats in these classes. Mirrors, natural lighting and wide open spaces contribute to the atmosphere and ambiance that you’ll find across our entire London estate.
