Six Physio is located on the lower ground floor at 50 Southwark Street, next door to Lantana and opposite Flat iron Square. This newly refurbished clinic houses a rehab & Pilates gym, serving the Borough, Southwark and London Bridge.

It is a 4 minute walk from London Bridge and equidistant from Borough & Southwark Tube stations.

    What is Physiotherapy?

    Physiotherapy helps people recover from injury, illness or pain. It enables people and empowers people to move better and move more. Physiotherapy supports people to live fuller lives.

    What does a Physiotherapist do?

    A physiotherapist first completes an assessment which involves listening to the patient’s story and then observing or testing particular movements. They will then work with the patient to create a treatment plan. This will usually include a combination of education, manual therapy and exercise prescription.

    What to wear to a Physio appointment?

    You should wear comfortable clothes you feel you can move in to a Physio appointment.

    How long is a Physio appointment?

    A Physio appointment is either 30 or 60 minutes.

    Can a Physio help arthritis?

    Yes, physiotherapy is the recommended first line treatment for arthritis. Physiotherapy can help with joint stiffness, can help to regenerate cartilage and can help strengthen the muscles around the arthritic joint.

    Can a Physio help sciatica?

    Yes, physiotherapy can help sciatica. It can help to reduce pain, improve range of movement and improve strength. A physio can help you understand what may have contributed to the sciatica in the first place and therefore prevent it from coming back.

    Can a Physio help neck pain?

    Physiotherapy is recommended for the treatment of neck pain. Physiotherapy can help a neck move more when it is stiff and can help strengthen the muscles around the neck and shoulders. 

    Can a physio help back pain?

    If you have back pain it is essential that you see a physiotherapist. A physio can help you understand what is causing the back pain and can create a treatment plan to help with pain, range of movement and strength. This will enable you to prevent the back pain from coming back.

    How much does a Physio cost?

    At Six Physio a 30 minute session costs £92 with a 60 minute session Initial assessment at £130. Consultant Physio prices are higher, at £155/ £107.

    Should I see a private physiotherapist?

    If you contact a private physiotherapist at Six Physio you will be seen within a few days. You won’t have to speak to your GP or be on a wait list. Once you have had your initial assessment, your treatment sessions can be an frequent or spaced out as you wish and need. You treatment plan will not be limited by wait lists or protocol. You will have direct contact with your physiotherapist via email and will be given a personalised exercise programmes which will be reviewed regularly.
