Trapped nerve

April 1, 2019

Hi

I’m suffering from a trapped nerve in my leg. Experiencing shooting pains down my left leg and a puns and needles in my foot + some lower back pain.

Someone has recommend acupuncture as a good solution and was wondering if you agree?

Thanks

Hi Andy

No, not really.

All the current research strongly suggests and points to an active (rather than passive ie poking needles into you) form of intervention.

Exercise is the right way forwards to having a good long term outcome. It means you have to do something and take responsibility and may take a little longer than expected, but it’ll always be worth it!
