Gordon may have a metatarsal injury

September 21, 2016

Hello,

I rolled over on the outside of my foot and have since suffered from pain in my outer foot on the top side when I walk long distances. Also quite stiff and sore the morning after. It will feel better for a while but all it takes is stepping wrong once to trigger it again.

Is it an outer metatarsal injury?

It’s been around six Months since it happened and the pain still occurs.

Could well be.

Generally with rest and being sensible, then body is pretty good at getting itself better.

When things don’t go according to plan, there’s always a reason why – and you need to know.

Could be foot posture, could be poor stability and strength could be even as simple as you haven’t taken enough load off of your foot from long enough.

Deffo get in front of someone in the next week or so and beg, borrow or steal a decent physical assessment and maybe some imaging wouldn’t go amiss.
