Sinus infection leading to skull pain

January 1, 2018

Approximately 8 days ago I came down with a sinus infection and a cold since then about 6 days ago I noticed that I was having some tenderness at the base of my skull on the right and left side now the tenderness is becoming more painful and it is making it harder to turn my neck or turn my head rather and when I do I can feel it getting tight where the discomfort is at the base of my skull could you please help me figure out what this is

Hi Tammy

It could well be that you’ve got slightly inflamed occipital lymph nodes, that are associated with sinus infection.

Give it a few more days, and see how it feels into the New Year.
