Early pregnancy and fitness training

January 9, 2014

Vicki asked The Guru for the following Physiotherapy Advice:

Hi,

I’m about 8 weeks into training for my first half marathon which is in early March. I’ve just found out I’m 6 weeks pregnant! I had been hoping to train hard and break 2hrs.

So far I’ve not had many symptoms but am naturally slightly hypermobile and have a longstanding ITB problem in one knee.

Do you have any advice on running, training, racing or exercises to help me stay strong??

Thanks

Vicki
