Alan Robb

Alan Robb

Alan graduated with a BSc. (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2009, having studied in Edinburgh. During his training he pursued his specific musculoskeletal interest and had several fantastic opportunities to develop this further, including working within professional football. Upon graduating he was offered a position to work with St Johnstone Football Club where both he and they enjoyed three successful seasons in Scotland's top flight of football. Concurrently to this he also worked for the Youth Academy at Rangers Football Club where he was responsible for evening clinics, pitch side cover and medical care for the players at tournaments throughout Europe. There was also a trip as the physiotherapist with Scottish Hockey's youth contingent shoehorned in to the busy diary and on top of this he was also carrying out some research work with the NHS in to the orthopaedic service delivery.

After three busy and enjoyable years north of the border, Alan decided to try something different and expand on his clinical experience by taking up a role as a musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapist with the NHS in Somerset. It wasn't long until he found himself back involved in the sporting scene though as he took on the role of Club Physiotherapist at Bridgwater and Albion RFC, providing continuity from his previous sporting experiences and a new social scene in a part of the world where there weren't many familiar faces!! However after a couple of years in the West Country the lure of the Big Smoke along the M4 proved too much and in June 2014 Alan joined the team at Six for the next stage on Harley Street.

One of the Six things you don't know about Alan is, in spite of his fear of heights, he is keen to stomach the challenge of a skydive one day!!
