I’ve spent my whole career to date with the NHS. Most recently with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust for over 6 years and prior to that at Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust.
During my time in the NHS I progressed to being a Band 7 Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. This involved clinical management of a wide variety of complex conditions and involving team lead and management duties. I have developed special interests in Hand Therapy and Women’s Health Physiotherapy as well as continue to treat a wide range musculoskeletal conditions. I enjoy helping people return to what they love, including sport.
I have a very competitive side and in a previously played field hockey to an high level which has given me a better understanding of elite performance across all sports.
During the COVID pandemic I worked on intensive care at St Thomas' Hospital and I am extremely proud of my work during this uncertain and extremely challenging time. This involved specialist respiratory physiotherapy and rehabilitation with patients on intensive care... I was also a volunteer during the 2012 London Olympics which was so much fun!
A Meera Soda recipe if you are lucky! Or something from the Roasting Tin recipe book- what a book!
Good question... maybe a wine tour around South Africa? Or South America to hike the Andes or Patagonia?
My dad! He would love the adventure. Back in the day he used to love talking me through star constellations on our family holidays, although I am convinced he made most of it up!
Those house keys I lost... I did actually find them after you had paid a fortune to replace the locks!
