Junior Physio in an MOD hospital
Lead Hand Therapist in NHS regional unit for 6 yrs

15 years running, managing and working as the Lead Hand & Upper Limb Specialist of The Hand Therapy Clinic
Clare first became interested in treating hands when she worked with wounded soldiers in an M.O.D. hospital. It was here that she learned to make splints out of Thermoplastic, and coming from an “arts and crafts” family, she loved the combination of Physiotherapy and making things. She moved on to become the Senior Physiotherapy Hand Therapist for an NHS regional Hand Service where she helped patients suffering from the vast range of conditions that can affect the hand.
Following this Clare joined a private hospital to work in their new and growing Hand Unit, where she looked after the patients of Hand Surgeons working in the private sector. For the following 15 years Clare has been running The Hand Therapy Clinic, a dedicated Hand and Upper Limb Physiotherapy service, before joining Six Physio in 2018.
