Gemma joined Six Physio having worked in a variety of fields including acute oncology, respiratory, elective and trauma orthopedics, musculoskeletal outpatients, neurology, acute geriatric assessment, intensive care, pediatric intensive care, pilates and hydrotherapy. She has worked in the NHS and private sector and now enjoys combining the different treatment techniques she has picked up along the way to give a holistic treatment experience. Gemma is mainly based in the gym but splits her time between the rehabilitation and oncology service.
Gemma has undergone postgraduate training in taping, acupuncture, sports trauma management, Pilates, musculoskeletal injuries in sporting children and adolescents, amputee rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation and sports massage therapy. She also holds a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and is a certified PINC Cancer Rehabilitation Physiotherapist.
