Working background:

After qualifying from Manchester university in 2000 I moved to south east London and began my career as a junior physiotherapist in Bromley hospitals NHS trust. Here I saw a variety of conditions in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, elderly care, respiratory and neurology. I continued to expand my knowledge and skills at guys and St Thomas’s NHS trust working as a senior physiotherapist in musculoskeletal, community, palliative care and elderly. Here I realised my passion to be in MSK and orthopaedics hence a move for 13 years to Kings College Hospital specialising as a senior and team lead in trauma and orthopaedics, working throughout the transition to becoming a trauma centre and therefore specialising in pelvic surgery, hip fractures and latterly falls. As a part of this I was involved in providing a specialist acute soft tissue clinic.

A recent move to Hayward’s Heath provided the opportunity to change areas and I currently work 3 days a week in the community in the Brighton area seeing a variety of conditions mainly MSK, orthopaedics and neurological.
