Hayley

Hayley Lord

Hayley graduated from The University of Birmingham with a first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy in 2013. After a few action-packed months travelling around SE Asia, she completed an internship with Birmingham Royal Ballet; touring with the company and gaining unique experience in managing dance and sports specific musculoskeletal injuries. Hayley then relocated to London’s Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and completed rotations in various specialties including musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics / trauma, stroke and respiratory/ITU. Alongside this, she worked for two private companies and volunteered at numerous sporting events / organisations including London Marathon and England Disabled Cricket. After a few years in the big smoke, Hayley jetted off to Meribel / Courchevel, France, where she worked for a Winter ski season; further enhancing her sports assessment and rehab skills whilst learning to ski!

Following another brief stint working at Birmingham Royal Ballet, Hayley relocated back to London to join SIX Monument where she is working as a rehab physio and running Pilates classes.

Hayley has achieved post-graduate qualifications in Pilates, sports trauma management, acupuncture and sports massage. She continues to utilise all opportunities to develop her clinical skills and progression. Her specialist areas of interest are post-operative / trauma rehab, lower limb rehab – namely ACLs, knee / ankle injuries.

Hayley prides herself on educating her clients to understand their injuries and how best to self-manage and prevent them; enabling them to get back to whatever activity that they love doing – be that a specific sport, insane fitness challenge, hobby or job.

Outside of work Hayley can be found head to toe in active wear cycling, walking, running or yoga-ing around London. She’s a keen traveller, foodie and enjoys socialising with friends. Having completed a few half marathons, she’s looking for a new activity / challenge for 2017…

One of the SIX things you didn’t know about Hayley: She very nearly cycled into David Beckham’s car when taking her beloved road bike out for it’s first spin in Paddington. Luckily having noticed the braking issues, he politely laughed and gave way……..
