Julia Barber

After graduating from Coventry University in 2007 with first class honours in Bsc Physiotherapy, Jules travelled to Ghana to start her physiotherapy career. Here she volunteered at the capital's teaching hospitals, the local premiership football club and village clinics. On her return to the UK Jules joined a private scoliosis clinic back home in her native Suffolk before heading back up to Coventry to begin her career in the NHS. This allowed her to specialise in musculoskeletal conditions from day one and after three years she decided to trial the big smoke of London. Jules joined the physiotherapy team at The Royal London Hospital, one of the country's leading trauma hospitals and gained valuable experience in sports medicine, orthopaedics, hydrotherapy, general practice and A&E clinics. She also qualified in Acupuncture and Pilates during this time.

Despite being a girly girl at heart, Jules loves to follow and talk about all things sport- Just don't get her started on the 'Tractor Boys' (Ipswich Town Football Club) who she has passionately followed from the minute she was born! At weekends aside from the shopping, pampering and socialising Jules can often be found out running, cycling, playing tennis or attending Pilates classes.

One of the Six things you didn't know about Jules: she was a dancer in the Paralympics Opening Ceremony at London 2012!
